Nyota Uhura is a member of Section V: Star Trek Enterprise. Uhura was the PA of her section, but lost her presidency position after Montgomery Scott was appointed as treasurer, and Pavel Chekov was demoted from treasurer to take her position as PA. Uhura is currently serving in the UPC Senate as the Senator from her section.

Uhura is the African Chief Communications Officer aboard the starship Enterprise, working under Captain James Kirk and Commander Spock. She works for Starfleet, and trained at one of its cadet bases, where she was taught by the vulcan-human Spock. She is fluent in many spoken and written languages, and was served under former Captain Christopher Pike, who has since been promoted to Admiral. She encountered the Romulans with the rest of the Enterprise crew, and though she was skeptical and harsh to Kirk when he first became Captain, she has come to respect him now. She loves playing the bass clarinet and hopes to play in the Starfleet Classical Orchestra someday.

Uhura is a member of the Explorers Council due to her knowledge of many languages, the Females Council because she is the only female in her section, and the Historians Council. She has not been elected into a presidency position so far.

Nyota Uhura is a Lieutenant in the Star Trek Army. She works directly under Captain Tuvok, and co-works with Lieutenant Pavel Chekov.
